Hello Everyone
It’s been a long time since i’ve uploaded something new, but i herewith present you my latest project.
After reading many of Tolkiens literature this hidden city has always been one of my favourites, and i therefore decided to try my best at building it.
Keep in mind though that it is in fact not a exact model of the city described in the books since i did not pay attention to executing every detail correctly but rather just built it based on how i imagined it in my mind.Some of the mian differences include the following:
- The 2 Big Trees Glingal und Belthil are yet to be done
- The valley in which the city is standing is a plain instead of a lake according to the books.
It has been built in default texture pack, but i’m guessing every other texture pack with nice quartz-blocks will work just as fine.
Please note that the terraforming is not the best, since it’s nothing i usually do, but it’s needed to add more atmosphere of the city.
You may use this project as you like, just be sure to give appropriate credits for it and never claim it as your own.

In the fiftieth year of the First Age, Turgon journeyed from his halls in Nevrast with his cousin Finrod. Ulmo guided him to the hidden valley of Tumladen, and there he founded Gondolin the great Hidden City. The city was completed circa 126, and Turgon’s people traveled there secretly.
concealed from Morgoth by the Encircling Mountains, and guarded from trespassers by the Eagles of Thorondor Gondolins elves lived a peaceful life and culture and knowledge bloomed.
Morgoth’s servants finally discovered Gondolin through treachery, and it was sacked and destroyed in 510, with only a small number of its people escaping.
One by one the great lords of Gondolin fell, and Turgon, disillusioned and broken-hearted, ordered all to follow out through a secret escape tunnel when he saw that the destruction was inevitable. Only his guards stayed around him, and all who remained were killed as the great white tower collapsed.
